Balatro makes a return with the Friends of Jimbo 2 update, introducing new crossover decks inspired by Cyberpunk 2077, The Binding of Isaac, Slay the Spire, and Stardew Valley. Similar to the previous expansion in August, these new decks are free with the main game and accessible on all platforms including PlayStation, mobile, Steam, Switch, and Xbox. In addition, there is a deeper crossover with indie RPG Dave the Diver, allowing players to experience Balatro in the Sea People Village under the title ‘Jimbo’s Game.’ The roguelike game, which has garnered a following for its blend of poker gambling and deck-building, hints at more collaborations in the future. These new decks serve as a teaser while fans eagerly wait for the big gameplay update promised by developer LocalThunk in 2025.
